Healthy Choices for a Positive State of Mind

     Wowie! Challenge day eighteen. Getting easier. Finding there’s a lot more than the negatives! Now, let’s look at the choices we make. They can help or hinder the way we think.

     When sandwiched in an unhealthy place, it is difficult to rise above negativity. Unhealthy can have many meanings. It is a state of mind, a place to live, a relationship lost, or situations left undone. It can be the exterior cabinet that carries your soul. Your mental, physical, or spiritual place. All can be unhealthy…if that is the choice we make.

     Step up to the ownership of what makes you unhealthy. Step up…then make a different choice. Look within. For consistent, unhealthy choices are yours…but for what reason? Circling around or hidden in the corners may be the demon “unworthiness.” Well, you already know from day eight that worthy you are of great things. Of a happy life, happy relationship, happy at work and play, and the place you live. Change the habit of the way you think and healthier choices will happen automatically. Worthy you are of a healthy body. Child of God, make a choice that reflects the body you’ve been gifted. Make choices that reflect the breath, love, and faith with which you have been gifted.

     Your life is a blessing. Make healthy choices that reflect your honor to God for all His Graces.

     I’m looking for another word. Positive in nature. One thing to focus on in this moment. Of all the healthy options, which one word describes a healthy choice you are making today? Add it to the list. What word will trigger a better choice from you? A reminder. You can do this. Happiness is right at your doorstep. Step through.

  1. Great post and reminder to focus on the positive rather than the negative. I think my word for today, as I head out the door to work, will be ‘relax.’ Good luck with the challenge!
