Faith in God’s Help through Life’s Stumbles and Falls

Twenty-sixth day of the challenge. Positive reflections. Releasing self-doubt. Then from the corner steps an ugly form. A raspy voice addressing mishaps. The mind plays tricks. The shoulders slump. Twenty-six steps forward…now several steps back. My friend, you’ve made it this far. Let God do the rest.

     You are not your past.

Stumbles and falls line the path of life. Perseverance prevails. Faith, dear one. Faith in yourself. Faith in God’s help.

Drape the memories with flower-scented paper. Tie a bow of tear drops and Baby’s Breath. Gift to God the package so tenderly wrapped. Allow God to carry the past.

You are now. This moment. Child of God. Worthy of love, happiness, and success.

Take pride in your efforts. You’ve come a long way. One more word I ask of you. A word that describes the powerful act of letting go of the past. Add it to the others.

From this moment forward, let not a person or memory dictate your stride. You are not your past. You are a child of God. Amazing. Beautiful. Powerful.

You are here for a reason. Your gifts are desperately needed.
