Bottom of the Glass: Believe in Yourself

Bottom of the Glass: Believe in Yourself

Find Strength to Face Life’s Challenges

Bottom of the Glass: Believe in Yourself

I have missed you so. I have missed our conversations. Quiet moments spent in silly laughter. Sharing dreams and hopes. Embracing life together.

    I have missed you. You.

I see you…but have not seen you for a while.

What is it that you run from as you sink to the bottom of the glass? Swishing and twisting bitter tastes of life’s memories. You turn to the glass to deaden the past. But in turn, the glass dead-ends you.

What chases you from within? Self-inflicted thoughts generated from interpretations, experiences, and lost expectations? Manifested demons whilst your soul cries from within.

My dear one, run not. Stand strong and face that which you cast into the hazy darkness at the bottom of the glass. Face your realities, not through clouded vision, but through the Light. Stand with God. Stand tall.

You carry within the strength to face life’s challenges. You are so much stronger than you think.

Believe. Believe in yourself. Believe in God. Allow God to Lighten your burden. Allow God to carry you until you are able to carry alone.

There is so much more to life. There is so much more to you. You are missing life and I miss you.

  1. It’s sad to see friends and loved ones run to the solace of too much wine or other ‘soft’ drugs that blunt their feelings, their dreams unrealized, their hopes dashed under the hard tread of each day. Soon we cannot see our friend any more, but only their shadow or a passing expression as they put their backs to the world.

So much from our pasts haunts and freezes us into inaction. So much to overcome and forget.

We can help each other. We can understand. We don’t have to say too much.

We all shine under God’s light. Pray that our eyes can be opened.
